SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
CONTENT:
We invite submissions from students and practitioners on civil and criminal laws, preferably dealing with the procedural laws in India and various contemporary legal issues that relates to the field of litigation. All the authors are requested to send only original content and submissions must contain some novel analysis comprised of the author/s’ views and which adds to the existing literature on the subject, but must not be a simple descriptive/informative piece, or a compilation of content from different sources. Paraphrased materials and excerpts should mandatorily be cited with authentic sources. The submissions which are approved in review shall be subject to publication after the due identification of any plagiarized content. A maximum of 2 authors are permitted for each submission.

RECEPTION:
​
Submissions must be mailed to litigation.committee@law.christuniversity.in. All submissions must be accompanied with details, containing the name of the author/s, institution, title of the submission and the contact details of the author, including the e-mail (preferably institutional) and the phone number. Submissions should be sent in a .doc/.docx format attachments and the title of the submission as the name of the document. The author/s shall declare in the covering mail that – “The submission is an original and unpublished work and the copyrights shall vest with the Litigation Committee upon its publication.”

PUBLICATION:
​
You can expect a prompt acknowledgment of your submission and a decision on the submission would take around ten to twelve days. All submissions made towards the blog are sent for a faculty cum peer review. If the author/s want a catalyzed review due to the transient nature of the issue they are covering in their submission, the same should be mentioned in the mail. Submissions may be accepted/rejected based solely on the discretion of the Editors. Relaxation of any rules regarding submissions is subject to the discretion of the Board of Editors.

The Litigation Committee, School of Law, CHRIST shall retain Copyright of all Blog Posts of “NyayPatra”. However, all Moral Rights shall vest in the author(s). In relation to any dispute, the decision of the Editorial Board shall be final and binding. Submissions may be accepted/rejected based solely on the discretion of the Editors. Relaxation of any rules regarding submissions is subject to the discretion of the Board of Editors.

SUBMISSION DATE:

The Blog Team follows a rolling submission structure for the submissions and hence there is no deadline for the submissions. However, in the event that the Committee invites Blog for a specific occasion/category, the deadline for the same shall be as decided by the Editors and no further submissions shall be entertained after the specified deadline.
CITATION & FORMATTING
​
WORD COUNT:
​
No submissions should exceed the word count of 2000 words, exclusive of endnotes. The word limit may be relaxed if a request is made in the mail of reception of submission and will be subject to the discretion of the Editors.

FORMAT:
​
Submissions must be made in electronic form only. All submissions must be word-processed, Times New Roman, Font size – 12, Line and Paragraph Spacing – 1.5 and Justified.

CITATIONS:
​
Only Endnotes may be used to exhibit citations. Footnotes or hyperlinks shall not be accepted. All endnotes must be in Times New Roman, Font size – 10, Line Spacing – 1.5 and Justified. Herewith attached is a copy of Bluebook, 20th Ed.

IMPORTANT
​
1. Any submissions that is accepted for publication on our website may be published on another forum only after giving due credits and reference to the publication at the Litigation Committee Blog and mention it as the first site of publication. Such re-publication/ part of re-publication taken from the already accepted/published submissions, should be duly brought to the notice of the Litigation Committee through mail within 4 days of such submission.

2. The Litigation Committee (inclusive of Convenors, Members and Faculty Coordinators), the authorities of School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore and the Editors of the Blog shall not be responsible legally or otherwise for any property rights infringement through any submission made on its Blog and any such claim shall be directed to the author/s of such submission. However, the Blog Team will exercise due diligence on its part to prevent such infringement through plagiarism check and dilution of any provocative/ inciting submission on a socially sensitive topic (in consensus with the author/s).

3.To facilitate a fair review of the submission, the author/s must not put any identification pointers (name, institution et al) in their submission and the same shall be mentioned only in the covering mail of submission.

NOTE: The author/s can attach a high resolution image pertaining to their title of submission in a 2:1 aspect ratio.
